Rainbow Ahead! Where to Celebrate Vienna Pride 2025

June in Vienna means one thing: full-on Pride season. The streets glow in rainbow colors, the vibes are electric, and the entire city turns into a celebration of love, visibility, and freedom. If you think you’ve seen everything Vienna has to offer – think again. Pride Week here is a mix of party, protest, poetry, and pure magic.

Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned Pride veteran, these are the events you definitely want on your radar. So grab your glitter, your friends, and maybe that one flag that never folds quite right. It’s time to celebrate the love.

Let’s Talk Work

The LGBTIQ Job Info Fair provides space to meet inclusive employers, learn about diversity-focused work environments, and connect with organizations that actively support LGBTQIA+ rights. Many companies from different industries are present to offer insight into their values and hiring practices. The event is open-air and part of the Pride Village program.

Date & Location: June 13, Rathausplatz

Run the Rainbow: Pride Run

Not a runner? Doesn’t matter. The Pride Run is about showing up and being visible. Walk, skip, dance, jog – whatever moves you. What matters is the vibe: colorful outfits, cheering crowds, and that weirdly emotional moment when strangers high-five you just for being there and at the same time it feels like finishing a marathon – you will love it.

Date & Location: June 13, Prater Hauptallee

The Main Event: The Parade

This is it. The Rainbow Parade is Vienna’s largest and most iconic Pride event. It moves against traffic on the Ringstraße – a powerful statement that sometimes you have to go the opposite direction to move forward. Expect music, political messages, incredible floats, and that heart-flipping feeling when thousands of people move together for a cause.

You feel the love here. And the glitter. Lots of glitter.

Date & Location: June 14, starts at Rathausplatz at 12 (meeting at 9:30)

Feel It in Words: Pride Slam

Queer poetry, rooftop sunsets and a crowd that snaps instead of claps? Yes, please. At the Pride Slam, queer voices take the stage and turn emotion into poetry – funny, fierce, and fearless. It’s not just spoken word; it’s a reminder that visibility comes in many forms.

Date & Location: June 15, JO&JOE Rooftop, Europaplatz 1/6, 1150 Vienna

Queerness as Art: “Threads of Fate” Exhibition

Identity, belonging, memory, transformation—it’s all woven into this mixed-media art exhibition in Währing. Whether you’re into photography, sculpture, or interactive installations, “Threads of Fate” invites you to reflect on what queerness means beyond the party. Get lost in a piece about chosen families and end up in the garden having deep conversations with total strangers.

Date & Location: June 13–15, Vinzenzgasse, 1180 Vienna

Bonus Stop at the Pride Village

In between events – or when you just need to recharge – head to the Pride Village at Rathausplatz. You’ll find food stalls, info booths, cool merch and people who will compliment your outfit. It’s like the unofficial living room of Vienna Pride, and yes, you’re always welcome.

Pride in Vienna isn’t just a celebration. It’s a statement, a space, a moment. Whether you’re marching, running, painting, or just standing in the sun holding someone’s hand – it counts. And if you’re lucky, it’ll stay with you long after June is over.
