Coliving motivates and inspires

“Just go for a stroll, take a walk on the clouds…” If it can’t be the clouds – as it says in the Konstantin Wecker song – then at least explore one of the numerous routes that Vienna offers for walking. Recharge your batteries on these walks through Vienna, top up your vitamin D and enjoy nature.

We love walking through Vienna and discovering lovely new nooks and crannies. To help you resist the temptation to walk the same route over and over again, this article will show you beautiful walks in Vienna for every season.

First things first: the right equipment

Before you head out on your walk, you should of course pack some provisions! In addition to comfortable shoes – let’s leave the high heels in the closet – you should also wear the appropriate outer clothing. Allergy sufferers shouldn’t forget their decongestants and you must of course also carry your wallet and smartphone. And then you are ready to go on the loveliest walks in Vienna!

Vienna Spring

Welcome spring

When the sun finally appears more frequently in the Viennese sky after a long, much too sombre winter and chases away the numerous shades of grey, it is a sign that you should start taking long walks in Vienna again. We have made a summary of our favourite routes for spring walks, which reward you with lots of natural beauty, in a separate article. You can also lift your face to the sun in Vienna’s parks and fill up on vitamin B.

In the centre of Vienna, you can not only embark on an exciting journey through time, but also stroll through inner courtyards and secret passages and then warm up in a Viennese coffee shop. Make sure not to miss the Japanese Gardens in Vienna during the cherry blossom season – you are guaranteed to be amazed by them.

Summer city escape

If you have had enough of the city heat in the summer, why not escape to the countryside. There are so many idyllic hideaways awaiting you there that are ideal for walking in Vienna. One of our favourite excursions would be to the Lobau, where walking can be combined with a wonderful dip in the cool water, and you can do the same at the Old Danube.

We have a separate article to tell you about ponds and lakes in Vienna that are also ideal for walking. A trip to Grinzing is also wonderful in summer, where, after a long walk, you can enjoy the mild summer night in one of the cosy wine taverns with sparkling wine, Austrian cuisine and other delights.
